Ankinow: Chrome Extension for Adding Words to Anki
Ankinow is a free Chrome extension developed by Ryota Arai. It serves as a convenient tool for adding words from web pages directly to the Anki flashcard app. With Ankinow, users can easily expand their vocabulary by seamlessly transferring new words they encounter while browsing the internet to Anki for further study.
To get started, users need to install the Anki app and the AnkiConnect addon. Once these are set up, they can proceed to install the Ankinow extension. After installation, users can open the extension's option page to set their preferred deck name. From there, whenever they come across a word they want to add to Anki, they simply need to click the "Add to Anki" link.
Ankinow supports various websites, including the Cambridge Dictionary for English words and the 英辞郎 (Eijiro) online dictionary for English-Japanese translations. These supported sites provide users with a vast range of word definitions and translations to enhance their language learning experience.
